1. Data We Collect
When you use StoryNestly, we collect information that helps us provide and improve our storytelling and learning experiences for your family.
This may include:
- Account data you provide, such as your name, email address, and password (stored securely).
- Usage data about how you interact with the app—such as stories created, library activity, and feature preferences.
- Technical data from your device and browser, including IP address, device type, and diagnostic logs that help us fix issues and improve performance.
2. How We Use Data
We use the information we collect for purposes such as:
- Personalizing stories and recommendations for your child’s age and interests.
- Operating your library, sync, and account features across devices.
- Processing payments and subscription management when you purchase a plan.
- Communicating with you about updates, security, and support.
- Analyzing aggregated, non-identifying trends to improve our product.
3. AI Training Policy
We do not use your family’s personal stories, voice recordings, or identifiable account content to train third-party foundational AI models.
Any optional improvements to StoryNestly-owned models are handled under strict internal policies and, where applicable, with additional consent.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited data with trusted service providers who help us run StoryNestly—such as hosting, analytics, payment processors, and customer support tools—under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for the services we specify.
5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
Where StoryNestly is directed to children under 13, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable regulations.
Parents or guardians control account creation and settings. We collect only what is reasonably necessary to provide the service, and we provide ways for parents to review or delete their child’s information in line with our policies and the law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing.
You can contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
7. Security Measures
We use industry-standard safeguards—including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure—to protect your data.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we continuously work to maintain and improve our security practices.
