Where AI belongs in operations (and where it does not)

Use models on messy input and summaries. Do not let them silently write stock levels or invoices.

The useful pattern in warehouses, support, and audit is the same: the model drafts, a human or a rule accepts, the system of record writes.

Good fits: classifying tickets, summarizing exception notes, extracting fields from invoices, searching policy packs. Bad fits: decrementing stock, approving payments, or changing access rights without a log.

Integration work is most of the project. If the WMS and the ERP disagree, an assistant on top will only sound confident about the wrong number.

We treat AI as a feature inside a workflow you already trust — not as a new product that replaces the workflow.
